December joy

December 11, 2015

Try to think of December for few seconds and a smile will find its place on your face.

DISCLAIMER: Unless you’re Grinch or a far relative.

It’s a tale as old as time. December is by far the most loved month of the year. ‘Home Alone’ is making its way back to your TV programme, the current pop hits are replaced by the same Mariah Carey, Wham! or Justin Bieber jolly songs, all your neighbours are cooking as much as during the rest the year (including cakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, tarts and anything that contains at least 70% sugar), towns are being decorated with dazzling ornaments and there is this overall scent of pine tree, red wine and hot chocolate with marshmallows.

I can’t help myself not to love this month. It makes you think twice about what you did lately, if you have accomplished your New Year’s Resolutions, if you spent enough time with the ones you love and if you are happy with what you have and who you are. And I hope you are truly, madly happy. I really do.

I must admit I am. Probably even happier than usual. If that’s possible. The exam period is over (err, will be) and I finally made time to experiment with my new camera lenses at Bucharest Christmas Market. (Also, I am sending big ‘Thank you!’ messages to my family for gifting me this new toy for my birthday).

If you are still having trouble with finding gifts, I strongly recommend you offer to your dear ones your time. It’s more precious than anything else. And it will be highly appreciated.

Have a great day!

Laura
